Spell-check: Gateaway or Getaway?

Definition of getaway

Please don't spell it as gateway or gateaway. The former means an entrance or passageway through an exit, the latter is nonsensical and means nothing. Unless you intend to run away with the gate. Even then, it does not make sense.

getaway: noun
1. an escape or quick departure, especially after committing a crime

2. informal
a short holiday: a weekend getaway: a holiday destination
